November's Call to Action

As the holidays approach in Kentucky, we're reminded of the importance of coming together as a community to support those in need. November holds special significance as we recognize multiple awareness campaigns that highlight the importance of compassion and community support.

The Reality of Hunger and Homelessness

In our Kentucky communities, hunger and homelessness remain pressing challenges that affect our neighbors, colleagues, and fellow community members. As mental health professionals, we frequently witness how these fundamental needs impact overall well-being and mental health. The connection between stable housing, reliable access to food, and mental health is undeniable.

At Resolutions Therapy Practice, we're committed to supporting our community members facing these challenges. Through our targeted case management services, we help qualifying Medicaid clients access essential resources, including:

  • Housing assistance and applications for low-income housing

  • Connection to food assistance programs

  • Support in applying for government assistance programs

  • Access to community resources

Honoring Our Veterans and Military Families

November is National Veterans and Military Families Month, a time to recognize the sacrifices and strength of those who serve our country. Kentucky has a proud military heritage, with numerous veterans and active-duty families calling our state home. Our practice offers specialized support for veterans and military families, understanding the unique challenges they face, including:

World Kindness Day: A Reminder of Our Shared Humanity

While World Kindness Day (November 13) may have passed, its message resonates throughout the month. Small acts of kindness can create ripples of positive change in our community. As mental health professionals, we've witnessed how kindness – both giving and receiving – can significantly impact mental well-being.

Thanksgiving: Gratitude and Giving Back

As Thanksgiving approaches, we're reminded that gratitude and giving are year-round practices. For those struggling with food insecurity or loneliness, this holiday season can be particularly challenging. Consider extending your Thanksgiving table – metaphorically or literally – to those in need.
